New Study Finds Microplastics in Seafood

A new study published in Environmental Science and Technology found microplastics in 100% of the seafood tested. Researchers acquired 10 oysters, 10 farmed tiger prawns, 10 wild squids, 10 sardines, and five wild blue crabs. All of the samples tested positive for at least trace levels of plastics, with varying amounts of plastic in each type of seafood. Sardines had the highest levels of plastic.

The study found that in an average serving of seafood, a person could consume approximately 0.7mg of plastic when eating oysters or squid, and up to 30mg of plastic in an average serving of sardines. A grain of rice weighs 30mg, on average.

“From the edible marine species tested, sardines had the highest plastic content, which was a surprising result,” Riberio told the University of Queensland. “Another interesting aspect was the diversity of microplastic types found among species, with polyethylene predominant in fish and polyvinyl chloride the only plastic detected in oysters.”

Seafood Study Finds Plastic in 100% of Samples

Polyethylene, the most popular plastic in the world, was the most common plastic found in the samples. Plastics commonly end up in the ocean where they breakdown into tiny pieces called microplastics. Microplastics are absorbed by plankton and eaten by other marine life and are carried through the food chain. Microplastics are in everything, from the food we eat to the rainwater.

CDC Says 94% of COVID-19 Deaths had Other Causes

The CDC has reported that 94% of deaths marked COVID-19 have other causes. On average, in the cases where COVID-19 was not the sole cause of death, 2.6 additional causes for death were reported.

It is very likely that in many of these cases COVID-19 was not the primary cause of death. In many cases, COVID-19 can exacerbate or worsen pre-existing health conditions. The total death count for COVID-19 is not the number of people who died because of COVID-19, but rather the number of people who tested positive for COVID-19 at the time of death.

Dr. Brown added that CDC and WHO documents show that the case fatality rate for influenza was similar to the coronavirus, implying that the lockdowns were pointless. His paper questions why the 2017-2018 influenza season in the United States did not “receive the same intensive media coverage as COVID-19.”

Many have accused both the WHO and the CDC of inflating numbers to make the pandemic appear worse than it actually is, with some saying the practice is for the sake of gaining control over the population. Public health and government officials have also come out and stated that the mortality rate for COVID-19 is actually much lower than numbers suggest.

Those 77 NFL Positive Coronavirus Tests were All False Positives due to Lab Contamination

On August 22nd the National Football League (NFL) announced that COVID-19 testing indicated 77 positive results from 11 teams. While this was big news in the mainstream media there were clues that the testing may have shown some false positives.

The league asked the New Jersey lab BioReference to investigate the results. They were re-examined and all of the test results came back negative. In other words, all 77 were false positives.

Jon R. Cohen, M.D., the Executive Chairman of BioReference Laboratories, testing partner of the NFLreleased a statement explaining that these false-positives were due to an isolated contamination in the New Jersey lab.

“On August 22, BioReference Laboratories reported an elevated number of positive COVID-19 PCR test results for NFL players and personnel at multiple clubs. The NFL immediately took necessary actions to ensure the safety of the players and personnel. Our investigation indicated that these were most likely false positive results, caused by an isolated contamination during test preparation in the New Jersey laboratory. Reagents, analyzers and staff were all ruled out as possible causes and subsequent testing has indicated that the issue has been resolved. All individuals impacted have been confirmed negative and informed.”

The Minnesota Vikings reported twelve positives, the New York Jets reported ten, and the Chicago Bears reported nine.

New Study Shows your Avocado Oil May Not Be Pure

A new study in the journal Food Control shows that the avocado oil you purchased may not be 100% pure avocado oil. Like with olive oil the standards are not widely regulated and some comapnies are ripping off health-conscious customers. Scientists analyzed 22 different kinds of commercially available avocado oil to find that 15 had gone rancid before their sell-by date, while six were likely cut with large quantities of cheaper oils.

In three instances, bottles labeled as avocado oil actually contained 100 percent soybean oil.

The Counter

The study found that many of the oils labeled extra virgin and refined were adulterated with other oils, and 82% of oils went bad before their expiration date, indicating they were of poor quality. Three out of the 22 oils tested were almost 100% adulterated with other oils, like soybean oil. Co-author of the study, Selina Wang said some adulteration was expected but not at such a high level.

When an oil is exposed to oxygen, peroxides and other oxidation products form, thereby giving the oil undesirable odors and flavors. While not as conspicuous as the FFA values, the trend toward high oxidation was also evident. In other words, many of the oils were rancid well before their “best by” date.

The Avocado Oil Fraud

Oil is considered authentic when no other additives or oils are added, and the contents of the oil match the label. Oil quality is determined by the extraction process, the quality of the raw food, storage of the oil, and the hydrolysis of the fruit and oxidation of the oil. Many of the oils tested were of low quality. This could explain some of the quality issues as this oil may have improper storage or extreme processing conditions, and the fruit used to make the oil could potentially be rotten or damaged.

Healthy levels of free fatty acidity (FFA) for avocado oil is between 0.1 and 0.055%. Three of the 22 oils sampled had FFA around 2.5%, with extra virgin oils having FFA levels ranging from 0.03%-2.69%, the average being 1.31%. The avocado oils tested also showed high levels of vitamin E content which can suggest that soybean oil may have been added.

Flu Deaths Have Been Radically Over Counted

The CDC has promoted the importance of the flu vaccine for years as the most effective way to prevent influenza. Through the 2019-2020 flu season, the CDC estimated there would be 24,000-59,000 flu deaths while estimating that 29,000-59,000 people had already died of the flu by mid-march.

By May, 65,000 people had died of COVID-19 in the U.S. These numbers are seemingly in line with flu deaths for the 2019-2020 flu season. However, this is not an accurate comparison because flu deaths are supposed to be estimated while coronavirus deaths are supposed to be counted. In reality, the counted flu deaths for the 2018-2019 flu season were between 3,448 and 15,620. Research shows the CDC’s flu death count is six times higher than the actual death count.

If official documents are only ‘allowed’ to count one cause of death, that means the yearly total of deaths in the United States needs to add up to 2.5 million. In that regime, medical examiners would have to choose between causes of death … For those dying of flu after a three-year battle with cancer? I’d give cancer the credit.

Flu Deaths Walked Back From Tens of Thousands to Hundreds

More than 80% of respiratory infections during flu season are actually caused by flu-like illnesses, not type A or B influenza. The flu vaccine does nothing to prevent these infections. Of course, the flu vaccine doesn’t do much to prevent the flu either. Data from the CDC showed that in the 2018-2019 flu season the flu vaccine was only 36% effective. It has also been shown that the flu vaccine is not effective for those over the age of 65 who are most likely to die of the flu.

Death rates for both the flu and coronavirus have been on the decline for the last 12 weeks in a row.

Coronavirus Vaccine Side Effects

With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, major pharmaceutical companies have been working tirelessly to create a vaccine in record time. With the media narrative being that a vaccine is our only hope for life returning to normal, it seems most people are pinning their hopes on a vaccine. Regardless of where you stand on the vaccine issue (pro vs anti), the reality is that vaccines do pose risk. While the obvious task is to develop a shot that immunizes against a disease the bigger challenge is to ensure that such a shot doesn’t injure people.

Researchers from Oxford and the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca released information from their phase 1/2 trial that shows their vaccine may produce immunity without causing “serious harm”.

While the people in the study may not have suffered “serious harm” from the coronavirus vaccine experiments, the side effects they did suffer were substantial and indicative of a vaccine that could cause massive injury and death on a larger scale.

If journalists don’t start asking tougher questions, this will become the perfect setup for anti-vaccine messaging: Here’s what they forgot to tell you about the risks …

Covid-19 Vaccines With ‘Minor Side Effects’ Could Still Be Pretty Bad

In one “advanced, phase III trial,” people were given acetaminophen every 6 hours for 24 hours after receiving the vaccine to help curb side effects.

Within a group of people that did not receive acetaminophen, one-third of people reported moderate or severe chills, headache, fatigue, feverishness, or general malaise. Around 25% of people experienced moderate or severe muscle aches. Nearly 10% of people had a fever higher than 100 degrees.

In another trial, by the time both doses of the vaccine were administered, every person had signs of headaches, chills or fatigue, with 80% of people reporting symptoms bad enough to keep them from normal everyday activities.

The people who participate in these vaccine trials have to be healthy adults between the ages of 18-55, and not have allergies made worse by acetaminophen. It is likely that someone with unknown and/or underlying health problems could have a much more adverse reaction to a coronavirus vaccine.

Mexico Bans Glyphosate

Mexico has joined the growing list of 21 countries that have banned or restricted glyphosate. Mexico’s Environment Ministry is known as the Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT). They announced that glyphosate-based herbicides must be phased out by 2024 for the protection of human health and the environment.

In the United States, Glyphosate is the most widely used herbicide. EWG says more than 250 million tons are used on American farmland each year.
